Anyone know anything bout this blob?

look at the side view of the car .

rear brakes look alot bigger than the front ones to me . the fronts look way to small inside the wheel .

I reckon wrx 4 pots still on front . sti disk will be the fillings of those 17s . actually dont think the wheels on it woukd clear brembos

Don't think them oz wheels fit over brembo's on the front,

It would be a love rly cheap motor if it had the 6 speed done.

I'm saying it has the 6 speed because of the rear brakes and gear shift maybe

what have you been smoking collins , wrx are 5 stud , even the 1.5 is a 5 stud , you must be getting to much sun or something , diameter of the disk within the wheel suggests 4 pots , be up that way tomorrow so could pop in for ya Martin

I'd say he knows what he has,is it def 6 speed?or just gearknob!

You'd find out pretty quickly on a test drive if you went to grab 6th gear :shtf:

And hit Reverse instead of the non-existent 6th... :falldownlaugh:

Don't think it all matters now! Motorcheck.ie showing milage at 65k miles in 2005! 72k miles on it now, 9 years later!!!

Could have been a weekend car... in storage for a few years etc...

The long and the short of it is you won't know till you go see it.
Maybe get the VIN and Engine number and do some checks to see if WRX or STI.
Ask about the 6spd and history etc before you go up... forums only help so much and after that just speculation... whether WRX or STI looks like good value unless crashed or serious discrepancy on mileage / service etc... ask the question of the dealer and go see it I would say!

There were some 2002 blobs, late registers though. But afaik, that dash centre console is bug only, it was different on the blobs. If not an sti, someone went to a lot of expense with seats, brembos, etc. it also has a 6 speed gearknob, but that may just be put on as I can't see the lift mechanism for getting into reverse.

Don't see any sign of the I/c water spray tank in the drivers side of boot. Defo Wrx clocks

Well that's that! Had a friend of a friend etc check milage with the previous Nct's. last Nct it had double what it has now!! So we'll leave it there! :angry1:

Could that me km instead of miles Martin??? Might be "genuine" enough one man working in Kms and another in miles... Just at thaught........

I nearly walked away from a car one time after the motor check showed it was clocked... But the way it was done didn't make sense... Ended up that at one Nct test the guy had marked the mileage down as km instead of miles.... So it had a history something like

2006= 80,000 miles
2008= 90,000 miles
2010= 100,000miles.... But was marked as kms so showed as 60k miles
(60k miles)

2012= 110,000 miles
