4wd rollers for diagnostics

Hi folks,

I'm wondering if there's anyone that would have 4 wheel drive rollers that I could use to diagnose an issue?
I believe my Chinesium silicone intake pipe is sucking closed on hard acceleration (when the second turbo kicks in), but can't really stick my head under the bonnet on the road at speed.

I want to diagnose and fix before going down for mapping to save myself a wasted 500 euro.

Thanks and kindest regards,
EoinF

Might be stupid idea but you could mount( magnets for example)a GoPro under the bonnet and review the footage

Probably a hard find. Bar you get a mapper maybe..
Do you still have the OEM pipe?
OEM pipe is bust, out of the question. I can get a good one from Australia that just started to get made, but don't want to buy a part that doesn't need doing.
Would Martin Tracy at Westward Engineering be willing to help out?
I will certainly ask, thanks Andy.

Will be a last resort as I would have to buy camera and lights and stuff for a one time thing.

We had the same issue on the dyno with a chinese made silicone intake hose.

What helped was to put inside the silicone hose a piece of aluminium pipe that would hold the walls and prevent it collapsing under load. Find the diameter of the silicone pipe and order a suitable size piece that you can fit inside the intake hose. Then run the car on the road at load and see if the issue resolves. If that's the case, the intake hose was collapsing before and now it's not.

https://fmic.eu/ has lots of difffenrent size of aluminium pipes that will potentially fit in length and diameter. I have ordered from them, delivered from EU and no extra taxes and nonsense to deal with.

Hope that helps with your issue :)

p.s: Sometimes it surprises me the amount of sh*t we did on our subarus over the years and issues we troubleshooted and solutions we found. This one actually only happened on the dyno and thankfully we copped on to it very quickly.
