They would be better off fixing the roads that made them the death traps they are. Bring out a road NCT if they are serious about safety . But that won't generate any money so that is why they won't.
Also the forthcoming introduction of average speed cameras on motorways and the rising death toll on Irish roads proves the speed camera vans are doing naff all for safety and are only money earners.
I know from bitter experience that some of the road deaths are in fact suicide due to mass unemployment etc. They should really separate the loan driver accidents at 3am in the morning that crash into a wall. But it suits the powers that be to massage the figures upwards. Then they have all the excuse they need to bring in new draconian fines and laws. :banghead :happynewyear
