a new clutch

looks like the clutch is on the way out on my car a mate of mine is a mechanic he reckons i should go for a exedy sports clutch.
Funds are a bit tight at the moment would you recommend picking one up off e-bay??
If not where could i pick up a good clutch
 
watch out for ebay mate, personally i wouldnt go near it for the likes of a clutch..too many bogey replicas etc. get onto the traders for prices. id try Ali Burrows first
 
If you are going to your local motor factor for a clutch, stay away from bluprint,AP,NKK clutches, only go for luk or SACHS, got my mate a sachs one after he had probs with others, delighted with it, he owns a 190 bhp sir civic.
I know there is major power difference but....
If you can get exedy cheap somewhere....not ebay.....go for it!
 
get what you pay for IMO....
is there such thing as top quality at cheap prices???
better off buying in the uk...still way more competitive!!!

Thanks lads found a clutch on a site called flat4online anybody ever deal with them???
 
As Jonnie said above DO NOT buy from flat4online, there are thousands of threads about him on scoobynet & you'll be waiting forever.

From talking to a couple of lads on here you'd really struggle to beat Ali Burrows for the price of exedy clutches & also labour rates if you were to drop the car up to him.
