Advice on New Dampers and Springs..

Lads.. There's a thumping sound from the back of the car when driven over a compression on the road or coming down off say.. a speed bump.
I got the problem looked at and I’m told it’s the back dampers..Seemingly a fairly common problem with STI's.

Now my question is this; Has anybody replaced these before and should i go for orignal subaru replacements or go for a aftermarket brand name I don't want to go any stiffer with the dampers as I intend to up-rate the springs to Tein S-Tech's (Mentioned in an earlier post by Altezza Dan).

Hey Doug,
I did my rear struts a while back (how to up in the tech section) I drive a 4dr but cant imagine theyd be much different. As for your choice of shocks id imagine whatever works out cheapest, the sti pinks i had in mine before i changed were absolutely fine, couldnt fault them
