Hi Dave,

First of all have you any used engines for sale?

Second i have an engine thats in a car i just bought a non runner the guy i got it off bought an engine from england a few years ago but was a dud he built the engine thats in the car now not sure of the history but he said the block, bore, crank, rods, pistons are all pretty good and he used the 2 heads from the england engine but wont start its spitting flames back through the ind. manifold timing maybe? he said its got compression and it has fuel and spark he also changed the ecu but made no difference, he thinks the cams could be in the wrong way but thats just a thought of his personaly i dont think so but your the pro so is that possible?

I will be doing all the work myself but i have only ever rebuilt in line 4 engines so i dont think i`ll give the scooby one a go because i dont want to do damage it if i get something wrong and have to pull the engine out again.

I was thinking maybe pulling the engine out and bringing it over to you what rebiuld would you recomend??

theres a lot of issues to cover here.


Firstly you may not need a engine. Without booking the car in and a full going over it is really too hard to say.

We as a rule do not get involved in second hand engines as in our opinion only leads to hardship for everyones sake.

We have no problem rebuilding your engine if you provide it to us out of the car. But obviously there would be no warranty with said engine as we are not installing and mapping nor know anything about the car its going into.
