Greetings,
am hoping to return to Subaru after over 2 years.
In the UK now, and have a few options.
Before I had a remapped 02 JDM WRX.
The choice over here would be between the 04-06 STIs. Does the Prodrive pack make a great difference (do I need to ask?)? There is a WR1 in a local dealer, has anyone any ideas about this compared to the PPP?
Any advice would be appreciated,

Had heard that the diffs improved in 05 STI models - did this make any real change to the handling?
 
If you can live with the colour of the WR1 then I'd say WR1 but the 05-06 STi with the PPP would be just as good. The tax on the later needing to be taken in to as their 2.5.

It's really a personal choice as they are all much the same. Limited edition every time for me though. :thumbsup:
 
afaik the wr1 is kitted with the prodrive pack , really nice car , Keith Dublin has a lovely clean example and he'd be the man to ask about the wr1 ,

as for the 2.5sti , they are a lovely car to drive everyday as i do but they are thirsty and the 935 a year it costs to tax are a pain , lovely torquey motor tho and pulls very well in every gear , the prodrive pack on a 2.5 brings standard power from 280 to 320 i think so nice increase on ppp car ,
 
tax wont be as expensive in uk anyhow....
05 sti has a few bits added to improve it over the wr1...increased rear track,.etc
wr1 is a limited edition,i'd have one imo...
as for PPP.....overated and well overpriced!!!

maybe a 06 hawk jdm sti , with ecutek racerom , 2.0l engine and not such heavy tax and slightly stronger engine ( more revvy but less torquey) , not the biggest fan of the WR1 colour , its not bad ,id jus prefer a blue , black or white hawk !

Picked up a wr1 a few months back 23k on the clock thing was as new,still not 100% on the colour and I'm not sure I ever will but I have to say it's a great car 320 bhp out of the box sports cat so good for the nct and 4 doors I had to get a 4 door for the new lad, the type r was killing me back and his ears so it had to go.
Oh and the tax is not to bad on it.

@tommy , im not sure there the advans (wheel porn) , but more a rota g-force in possibly 18x9.5 guise with a low offset . prob talking the best part of a grand from rota and then tyres !

would only luv a set myself too
