I got my insurance quote this morning €2,305 TPFT :icon_evil:
That's up from €1,100 on last year .

Why........... because the wa*ker who drove straight into me, on the wrong side of the road
had put a claim in for €23,500.

So now i have no scooby, still have to pay the bank loan, had to by a new car and now have to pay
€2,305 for insurance on a bucket of sh*t 97.D Audi A6..................when i done nothing wrong and the
court case to decide who's at fault is not until next year :angry1:

And to top it all i got quotes from 4 insurance company's this morning ranging from €530 - €610

Can anybody shed some light as to ware i stand on this one , Oh and i forgot to mention
NO insurance company will take me on while there is a claim pending

So im rightly fooked

Can't be medical claims as thats never settled until the final treatment has happened, and absolutely no way he spent 20 grand on medical treatments in the last couple of months since the accident.

Really sorry to hear this Niall, sounds like you need to get a very good lawyer :icon_sad:

How is he claiming against you when he is the one being procecuted !!!! :ponder2: and It was an old corrolla !!!

try to grin and bear it niall, try renew your policy and get a letter off the insurance company as to why its gone up so much. Your obviously gonna come out on top in court and bring the letter and your policy info to court so he'll be made pay . I know its hard to come up with a massive amount of cash in a short time but you will get it back??

Jesus, thats really crap. A fella i work with is in a very similar situation, he was ploughed out of it last year, the Garda at the scene
told him he's 100% in the right, but he's insurance has doubled he's monthly policy repayments because the other fella is claiming against him, but he was told
that he'll be re-paid once he's won he's, so bacially its all a gamble!. Oh he's got a letter signed by the On scene Garda( some times
they can't make the court date) and a good solicitor on the case. There's some chancing Scumbags out there.
 
bloody hell mate sorry to hear,

same happened to me, but i got a great solicitor
an kept EVERYTHING relating to money an the claime.

worked out in my favor an i ended up getting a large sum at the end of the 2 years.
