not good for the diff as far as i know

im looking for definite answer man dont want to be going away spending mad money on rims to find out they will do more harm than good when ive them bought.cheers for the reply all the same

any 1 else????????/

my understanding of it is... as for the rear diff both wheels must be matching. same goes for the front diff..

ask davelegacy.. he will know for sure.

even a slightly differny size tyre on one wheel can fu*k up the diff an stuff..

subaru will not cover an damages caused by this stuff under warrenty.

fact.

Hey Guys what about different tyres I have a set of Nexum N3000 on the front and a set of Eagle F1 on the back they are the same size many thanks John Lewis.

Tyres wont make a difference as long as the wheels are the same size.

Disregard this advice

tyre size does make a difference

wheels have to be the same size and tyres have to be the same size

Different tyre types will also make a difference, different compounds provide different grip levels so stickier tyres will put strain on the diffs.. It may or may not be enough to cause any serious damage but it will have an effect..

Just like different alloy types will have an effect caused by different weights or like a sticky piston would cause damage also..
