So in my perilous struggle to find a exhaust for my Legacy at a decent price , I have been trying to find one 2nd hand online, seeing as that's a no go either i had a brain wave! When i got my legacy it was loaded in the boot with 2 brand new Back boxes amongst other stuff. There is one or 2 dealers around Dublin that have a few Legacy's in stock with some nice exhausts I'm interested in. Do you think its worth a shot asking them would they be interested in a swap for a pair of their after market exhausts from one of their cars plus my 2 brand new exhausts, plus a few quid? Or am I just dreaming!!

i could do the swap if they would let me! Some of these cars a standard looking apart from the aftermarket exhausts, which looks a bit weird! They would look much nice on my yoke!

Have you tried Hayward & Scott for a price says on their website that they make them for the legacy range???

but very much doubt they'd let you work away on the for sale car yourself.

ye was on to them before, but they are based in UK, they never made any exhaust parts for BL5 Legacy, would need to drive car over to them and leave it with them for 4/5 days so = a lot of hassle!

i wouldn't hold out too much hope on that one but you never know..

I know but i could suggest it, and if they said no, i would be willing to pay the labour on the swap!

if hatward and scott are lookin for your car for 4/5 days it would suggest that yours would be the first for that model and maybe you might get it free.

A chap i know did this with an Accord SirT, offered 100Euro dealers way, got 2 nice backboxes in exchange for his standard ones, pretty sure it was icetronix. No harm in trying..

I just got a full s/steel peco exhaust (center section & back box) for my impreza from top gear motorsport uk for €320 all in. Have a look there , not sure if they do legacy exhausts but have a look anyway. That price included carraige, took about a week to come. good luck , Richie....
