Just wanna thank Andy for his help last night. My car ran very low on coolant and started to overheat. Andy came to the rescue and drove me round looking for some, even after driving to a closed Halfords. Thanks dude! Karma on the way.

:subaru:

Steve, It was no problem.

Thanks for the spin in the car, made me regret buying my Legacy even more :icon_sad:

Yes Jamie, it pains me to say it but there is regret about buying it. The twin turbo set up is just not for me. With the car being heavier you just dont get pushed in the back with boost like I did in the type R. I find myself not being able to overtake like I used to in the type R because of the VOD. For comfort and power there is no other car like it but I just miss the acceleration of the type R. I suppose I have been spoilt with a type R as my first ever scooby. As soon as I can I will be back in an Impreza.

But, Im stuck with the Legacy now with the way the market is. Plus it has cost me 1400 for gearbox and diffs, 1400 full service and 800 for the Clifford.

Glad I made your day

Fair play Andy for helping Steve out, Karma for you mate

Ouch... jesus that's gotta hurt! Sorry to hear of your woes fella! Even if you are a Impreza traitor!!

Glad to hear your plans of getting back into a real Scoob!!! :1poke:

Can't beat them Type R's... they condition you to never being able to drive anything else... with only regrets if you part with one!

Clutch getting done tomorrow so thats another 800 :icon_sad:

oh and I forgot, 2 new rear shocks 190euro

You can have spin in mine you can see the potential..not saying my car is anything special but the only cars I wasnt catching at mondelllo where the type r's and Al's mental yoke with 400bhp..downpipes and a remap will see 300 its a big difference yours is probably around 260..the map smooths out the VOD as well..I'm actually looking for a Type r as well I should of swapped with you.

Depends on what you buy Alternator the only thing Ive had to do in 2 1/2 years

Feel sorry for ya Andy, you obviously got a bit of a lemon but hopefully with all the work done it will be better. Thats an awful lot of money to be forking out. Were the gearbox and diff both gone? I've had the centre diff go in mine twice, well it was there when i bought it and fixed under warranty the first time and its a right pain in the cornholio. You must be getting an exedy organic clutch for that sort of money so hopefully that will last you for a long time without needing to be replaced.

You need to get used to driving the car hard and once you learn to drive it properly you can easily stay out of the VOD by knowing your gearing and revs.. When I'm driving hard I never drop back down into it so it never effects you. But hey, you go back to your hairdresser mobeel and be happy   You can all admire eachothers curls at the next meet
