Another claimed world's fastest Subaru

I really don't like that the drag car has a CVT gear box,
I think it just removes it so much from being a road car, and why bother leaving the interior in?
Otherwise, nice cars!
Dan

Americans seem to claim world records a lot,but they probably mean 'America's fastest'.The esx street cars are nice but without the stripe.

Think the point of it Dan is to show what they can achieve with a full weight car, that the performance is coming from the mods and not from gutting it, Imagine if that was put on an Andy F diet and weighed in at around only 850-900kg what times it would put in.

In fairness, how far tuning has come and progressed is usually tightly related to the population of a country, and with that in mind the U.S would be fairly far ahead, if you look at Uk, on sites like 22b.com, 500/600bhp are nearly the trend where here in Ireland 400bhp is the most sought after and achieved, with the odd person venturing higher.
I would say that its probably fairly accurate that is the Quickest road Subaru in the world.. Didnt Andy F hold that title for a while???

Andy runs his drag car on special drag tyres. Dont know if the ESX car runs direct metanol or nitros like Andy's car.

TBH who is going to drive a road car with 1,300 any distance unless its a Veroyn. It would overheat in no time at all. I would much rather have everyday useable and reliable 500 bhp.

The American tuning scene is amazing. You should see the budgets these guys have. They can have anything custom made. Think Litchfield Type 25 as a base car and then add 100% more power and torque. Expensive madness but its a drug that a lot of guys on here cant shake. Right Dan?!!!!
