@ Aaron:Im from passage west
love the car.wish I had bought one sooner.On the down side i bought the car and was told it was mapped.previous owner had it over a year with no problems so i took his word for it thinking if it wasnt mapped it would have given trouble already.bought it on the 31st of august.drove it home and it didnt miss a beat.had it parked up for just over 2 weeks after that as it wasnt taxed.went on holiday to spain with the mrs for a week and finally put it on the road on 19th of september.drove problem free for exactly 1 week but then one night on my way home traveling at 120kph the engine started knocking and its now running on three cylinders.car hasnt moved since.engine rebuild on the cards now.just unlucky i suppose.the lad i bought it from could hardly have known that was going to happen.Im pretty sure its a cracked/melted piston.looking at a fully forged rebuild.I figure if im going to get it done i might as well go all out.any suggestions on where to go?Im thinking dave at sti tuning.heard he does alot of excellent work

Sorry to hear of your problems.. Have a look in the traders section, do your homework and talk to engine builders about your needs and what they recommend

welcome along man. sorry to hear bout your troubles hope you get it sorted soon. yeah dave at stituning is very very good he looks after alot of cars on this site including mine. you should give him a ring he will answer all your questions, or give some of the other traders a call too just to vary your option. either way if you go to a trader on here your car will be like new in no time
