any 1 using whey protein

I used the whey protein for about 6 months while lifting weights. Put fat on my stomach and made me belch a lot. Saw very little results after 6 months.

Andy did you drink much water during the day when you used whey protein and was it mixed with water or milk?

Tried milk initially but mixed with water after a few weeks as with the milk it was very heavy on the stomach.

I dont take anything now. Just a good diet of chicken, rice and pasta.

Thats a strange one Andy. Ya prob should have stuck with the protein and altered ur training methods and meals. A chat with a good nutritionist would have helped alot. How many meals a day were you eating. Avoiding pasta, rice, potatos, bread and noodles for 2 weeks should have shifted some of the fat on ur stomach. Have you ever had a colonic?

im using it with water and ment to take water during the day and after work out for dehydration....got it in holland and barrett red front on it your 1 said it was the best for buildin some muscle :dontknow: see how it goes...thanks for all the comments dudes

Ya keep taking on water. If you are not seeing any results then it may be an idea to go through ur diet. There is no substitute for hard work. These products are no good unless ya work hard. Keep us posted on Ur progress. If you need and help with diets give me a shout. I took last year off and shot up to 16 stone. Started back in Janurary and trimmed down to 13 and a half stone by april.

put up what your eating daily man that protein supplement and weight training wont get you any results if your diet isn't properly suited to build muscle. Im studying food science in ucd at the moment and have a huge interest in nutrition as well. I have prepared a diet for my da as he wanted to loose weight so in 2 months hes down from 15st 7 pounds to 14st 9pounds without any exercise and it is not a starvation diet either. i have done similar diets for myself when i played rugby and wanted to bulk in fast i put on 3kg in a month and my body fat didnt go up. i have also done them for mates and family for different goals. let me no if you would like me to do you out one but as i said id need to see what your daily consumption is. I wouldnt have time until after saturday as im sitting exams until then and all my time is spent studying. just an offer man

ill pm ya wat i consume chris and whenever your free to do out a new nutrition guide for me thanks

You've a great future in that, I'm sure you don't need me to tell but fair play must be very interesting

Cheers mate after I get the degree in food science I want to go on the specialise in human nutrition or dietetics. Once I have that sorted I might get qualified as a personnal trainer to help people reach their goals exercise wise. I can already do that now but I'd like a recognised qualification so the people I'd be working with would be more comfortable seen that im fully qualified. It will take a 6 years or more but in my eyes it will be worth it as health and fitness has been my passion since I was about 13-14.

A high calcium diet lines your intestinal Walls. Calcium restricts the absorption of fats. For this reason i mix mine with low fat super milk. Avoid pasta and rice unless they're whole grains. Spuds are lower in fat than most rices and pastas. I've been gaining lean mass and no excess fat. Bmi has dropped nicely too. It's doable but if you're not going to work out everyday then don't take full servings of the supplement because it'll just go to waste. Still take it twice but just half the serving. If you're taking a supplement with creatine make sure to drink more water so you don't get dehydrated. Overall it's simple enough, eat more and lift heavier each time you go to the gym. What I do is I'll do a high rep day and the next I'd do a high weight day. During the high rep day I'll knock a few kilos off of what I'm capable of but I'll do more reps.

All the best with it. :)

Oh and chris, though you're studying for your exams? :p
