Every man and his dog has an iPhone (have a 3GS myself). I like the look of the HTC Desire.

anybody care to comment?
 
Yeah have a Desire Andy. Savage phone and now that the app market has been extended to cover paid apps in Ireland and another 10 or so countries the quality of these are coming on day by day.

Don't buy the Desire though, get the Desire HD :thumbsup:
 
Also have one and think its the mutts nuts, as Brian said the android market has been majorly improved reciently :thumbsup:
 
If you can wait until early next year for new phone i would! A few new ones in the works, Desire Z is another option. It has a slide out keyboard too. My boss in work may be selling his soon enough.

I have the HTC Nexus one, same hardware as desire, just touch screen buttons where desire has physical buttons on the bottom
 
I'm gonna switch to Android from an N97. Was all set to get an Nokia N8 but I think Symbian is a dead platform..if Nokia ditch symbain and run android Il get an N8. We are at the stage now with mobiles where the OS is just as important as the hardware...I see Android becoming the OS standard on all non apples phones..its pretty much is already.

I've checked the O2 website and they dont list the Desire HD only the Desire. When is release date here of the HD and Z models?

I am planing of buying Desire Z, but I have some doubts about the "loose hinge" issue with it :(
Does anyone here have it? How's it? From videos on youtube you can't judge, coz there are several different opinions...

Phone is totally awesome, though...

my boss has one, ill ask him how he finds it. havent heard any complaint from him.
 
I'll be buying the Desire HD as soon as its available online with Meteor.. They have it available already in the shops but the phone and plan are more expensive than buying online...

The Desire Z is already available and has been for a while :thumbsup:

I am planning to go for a 12 months bill pay for ~30 eur/month with a price of phone around 190 EUR.
BUT as I said before... can't decide about the hinge :[

Thanks for the replies lads.

The Z looks nice too but the Desire HD has a bigger screen.
 
Was on to Meteor today.. Still only available in-store.. They were supposed to have the phones available online and over the phone yesterday but the weather has delayed the delivery apparently.. Told me to ring back Monday and they should be able to sort me out with the phone and the price :thumbsup:
