what about the filter?

it drains the oil so stops you having to take take the sump screw off when changing oil.

filter would still need taken off and changed

i think its a great invet have'nt see any bad feedback about it !!!
what i would say tho is........... as you know i have the foz so i went for the one with the nip.
but as yours would sit lower get the one without just for hight clearance
:subaru:

part number for all subaru is F-105 $22.95 and F105N $25.95 with nip
shipping quotes are:

USPS First Class Mail International - 9 to 11 days ($6.00)
USPS Global Express Mail - 4 to 7 days ($24.99)

i went with the $6.00 and had it in 10days (in no hurry for it coz you have to wait till you change the oil any how!)

in theory a good idea and i would go for that kinda stuff but....would be afraid to trust it and would be afraid it could get snapped off as most sumps anyone would see
would ave the odd dent or too.... i once came around a bend to find a stone on da road and car coming against me so no where to
go and it hit the sump and sump nut and that was in a transporter van and the nut was grand till next service....
would like to hear how you get on it would be handy allright..

i think i will stick to da nut it got me back from bellmullet to galway that nit... :icon_pray:

woould have to agree with brian it only takes a few minutes to take out the sump bung sould not really trust that thing

yeah but my point is you need to change the filter every time you do the oil..thats the more difficult part of the process your under there longer for the that the sump washer takes as second..cant really see the benefit

Reinventing the wheel that. No point. Give the nut a thwist and out comes the oil. Same thing really. But it you like it go for it.

wouldn't trust it either. the "sump nut" is there for a reason. wouldnt it be nice to catch it on a branch on the rd and dump all the oil

It's just hanging there waiting to be bust off... A decent ridge in the road or rock and that'd snap off nicely dumping your oil out onto the road..
Stay with good old reliable sump plug...!!!
