As above, havin bother with a Yaris, she keeps throwin up the MIL for a bank1 lean and bank1 o2 sensor slow response fault. have replaced the sensor, am startin to worry the cat may be fooked as the car was driven for months with the fault in.. any ideas lads?

Cheers,

Derek

unlikely it would log those codes for a cat. system lean would point towards an air leak or low fuel pressure. the 02 slow response is usually a wiring prob or the heater circuit in the 02 sensor. have a look at the live data.

can you swap the air flow meter with another car derek just to try.....
have seen something similiar before....
:ponder2: :ponder2:

ya i'd nearly guarantee its the air flow they were saying that if you don't use a genuine air filter they were feckin up the air flow meter but i think its was just crap air flow sensors

Derek

ya an air flow will make it judder and lurch it will start out as a flat spot or hesitation i'd try it b4 you go changing the cat main dealer should have one on the shelf you can always return it if its not the problem

howdy we had one like that a year ago, make sure the air filter housin isnt cracked were the two plastic lugs are at the bottom were it pivits, i know it sounds mad but at the time it was a head wrecker, it sucks the air in and loves doin stupid things
