Anybody getting unwanted?

Last week I was awoken in the early hours with the sound of the clifford giving it full beans.
Up straight away and saw 2 lads pegging it down the road.
Looks like they were at the drivers window trying to prize it open.
Needles to say the wife was very shuck, as the last time somebody
Robbed a car on the road it was my old STI. Lots of I told you so.....
Next night a load of teenagers threw stones at the window and some bounced
Off the car, probably totally unrelated and d1ckheads only Messin.
Not in my wife's head though.
Anybody get grieve from unwanted sources and other halves?
Needless to say, the scooby is on thin ice and not in the garden the last week.

Never had a problem myself from either source she hates the scooby and would never drive it but she knows it's mine not hers so none of her business really as fir tge scumbags a rifle would sort that

get yourself a gun as said alan and the first sign of anyone even looking at it anyway sketchy fire a warning shot in the air they wont be too long about running lol

Never any bother with my Scoobies.
In all fairness I live down the country.
For a short while had my '04 blob in Cabra, but even there no issues.

I've CCTV... and as a lad can now legally defend his property I'd have no issue giving them a hide full of #3 from the 12 gauge. Most farmers around my parts think the same way and after some house robberies over the past year or so there now is a "shoot first ask for forgiveness later" policy. After a couple of cartridges let off into the air by locals there's been no more bother for a while now. Some folks in a van got the side and rear windows shot out while trying to get into a place and word has got around that there are guns in these parts and people will use them.

Not sure if the shotgun defense would stand up in a town / housing estate, but a couple of licks with a hurl or Louisville Slugger should do the trick. Also... what really does work too is getting a big 250/500W halogen work lamp mounted on the house with a motion sensor. Cheap solution and typically they do not like the sun to be turned on them during break-in attempts.

Never any bother as of yet .
Touch wood . Car is alarmed and tracked if they want it they'll take it .

Same as above 4 years no bother touch wood.

Fact that I do shift work probably helps ie car not there every day from 6pm to 7 am next morning and all weekend

I'm a fan of the "Louieville slugger" Charles mentioned above that along with a good alarm helps for peice of mind.

Just scrots Alan don't worry bout it but would suggest parking it somewhere else next few nights in case there back mates gaff or secure underground I'd say both incidents linked same tossers ...

No bother at my house but there has been 3 burglaries this year from houses down the road. Dad has two shotguns and wouldn't be afraid to use them. After the Padraig Nally case, a lot more people would use their guns.

We all should be very thankful to padraig nally. He has done more for this country than alot of politicians

aye, I had a lad threw some kind of metal pipe onto my car while I was driving it. Stopped with my tyres sqealing and as soon as I got out of the car, he was gone, disappeared between buildings.. ****in lil ****head.

My missus loves the car, and cant wait for when she passes her full licence so I can write her on my policy so she can drive it from time to time(well, we will see about that haha)

Bit too much of a coincidents that stones were threw at house the next night??? Maybe they were hoping if alarm kept going off you would think there was a problem with it and disarm it??

Might be a coincidence, but it wasn't a nice atmosphere in the house the next night waiting and looking out the window. Even the kids were affected. Car is in a friends garage till I decide what to do. Keep store or sell.
More than likely the later.
Gutted but have a young family

Have my yoke near 5 years now, in a housing estate. leave the keys secured downstairs. Never any bother. Most grief I get Is off her saying I'm too old for it! As Baz says if they want it that bad they can have it, it's only a car at the end of the day.

My brother in law WAs just telling me tonight that he was watching Tv on Wednesday night and saw the interior light come on in his work van. Jumped up and saw 3 scrotes at the van. Doors open. He legged it out and knocked one. Grabbed his drill and hit the other lad getting out of the back of the van. The 3rd guy ran to the mondeo waiting and jumped in and started revving up and shouting at the others to get in. Brother in law legged it down the drive after them, drill in hand and fuc ked rit at the car and smashed the back window. No plates on the car but was an older shape Mondeo. Rang the cops and they said they would check it out but of course nothing.when my brother in law said there was no plate on the back of the car the guard asked if there was one on the front! The cut the wires from the door into the van and jammed a screwdriver in the lock and broke it out. He has been up the last 3 nights as he cannot lock the van and can't get anyone to fix until after Christmas. There was blood over the drill so he is hoping that they won't bother coming back after getting a thumping and the window smashed.

If its affecting the family in any way it's gotta go . No amount of cameras or alarms will make it ok if someone breaks in to get the keys .We had a real in a few months ago but luckily nothing took but still had a bad affect on the missus . Luckily there was no attempt to get into the garage or the car otherwise it would have had to go .

Can't be living in Fear... and let that, and some $cumbag$, dictate what you can or cannot enjoy in life.

It would be a sad day if you'd have to give up on a car because some boll!x wants to nick it.

Try the light and camera and get them installed as soon as you can. They should be enough of a deterrent... and the next step is taking some drastic measures to make one of those lads a good example to the rest of them why it is ill advised to try rob your property.

In the meanwhile though... chin up... breath in... hold... breath out... zen and centre... you're not the one in the wrong here... having a nice car (regardless of make etc) is a reasonable pleasure in life that you are entitled to... that you worked for.... that you enjoy... and that you DESERVE. -and don't let anyone tell you any different.

Camera and light is good solution! Camera recording 24h and even if they will Take car, there is chance for recognition of who did it. Just two weeks ago I installed CCTV for guy as his car had some new scratches and window broken! Day of work but he is sleeping now. As Baz said, if they want, they will find way of getting it!

had it on my last car 3 lads broke into the house tied me up and put a gun to my head for the keys to the car not the best friday nite i ever had lol as baz said if they want it they will take it
i have mine blocked in now wit 2 other cars and my work van if they can get the car out with all them in the way they can have it i can always replace it
