Anybody getting unwanted?

had it on my last car 3 lads broke into the house tied me up and put a gun to my head for the keys to the car not the best friday nite i ever had lol as baz said if they want it they will take it
i have mine blocked in now wit 2 other cars and my work van if they can get the car out with all them in the way they can have it i can always replace it

It's hard to know what to do, one guy told me before to just leave the keys out where they can find them close to door.... His reasoning was if they are going to go to the effort of breaking into the house to get them they are not leaving without them so If they can't find them then they are going to be up after you, the woman or kids... And the end result will be you giving the keys over anyway but your family being tormented for life after it... And being realistic, there is a good chance that if they are in anyway competent they will be standing beside you before you wake up.

Gave the car to a friend to sell. Well pissed off atm.
Sourced a replacement car 2 days ago.
Iv had focus RS, GTI, 335i , M3s etc and never
a niggle. As soon as a subaru appears sh*t happens.
Only remembered the spoiler was torn off the last STI too.
With a young family I'm not taken any chances.

It's sickening to think you feel the need to that.. But if it makes your family rest a bit easier well it's only a car at end of the day..

It's fcukin sickining that it comes to this. Sorry to hear it man. I hope you can get someone to follow it up for ya in the long grass.

will you not leave it with your friend for few months untill all this hassle cool off and then bring it back. Dont let scums give a direction to your life

Sorry to see this. I would keep car with your friend for a good while, meantime buy cameras and spot lights with sensors to show them that you are not afraid. I can help you with getting good cameras and install. Won't charge you anything extra!
Of course family safety is first thing, no doubt about it. Don't think that STI is reason of this, as if not this, then other car will be target, but fact that those scumbags are not being cought by proper organs and dealt with accordingly!

With time stamp few moments ago.
If there is anything that me or my family can help you with, please let me know!

Bring the car back. Organise a few friends to wait in the house in darkness. Bait the scum out and then kick them around the place.

Sorry to hear this
If I was you I would install one of these http://www.adverts.ie/other-home-garden/bollard-heavy-duty-driveway-post/8653927
and then use one of these on the car http://www.adverts.ie/alarms-security/steering-wheel-lock/7781322
That will be enough to deter any run of the mill Scrotes from hitting your place as a Handy number
after that you are in to organised lads and there is much handier out there to take
I would do this even if I didnt keep your current car as bye your track record of cars if there coming back they will just have a go at whatever is in the drive way next so I wouldnt be selling it to avoid that
and any that come along just because of the car then what I have mentioned above should sway them of it too
Up that way its generally opportunists and there are plenty of easier Grab's around than your own with the right Deterrents put in to the mix it should be the end of it in my view
I know its A Massive Concern when the Family are involved but I dont see it as helping them bye changing car
Beef the security and add cameras your in a built up area and dont have to worry about seclusion like some will so its a different equastion in my view than some of the answers above as Location plays a good part of the solutions you put in place
Anyway Hope whatever your decison is, it gets sorted and the Family are All well at the end of the day wich is the Important thing
Try not to let a Few Fook Heads Ruin your Holiday's

I also bought that clamp Rob had for sale as I figured it would be handy to have, if I ever got any unwanted attention
you are more than welcome to borrow it for a while if it helps your current situation

Had one of these on the starlet gt a few years back. Stopped it getting robbed a few times.

Who had the gearbox lock? Black blob sti I think? Scooby 555? Custom job I think?

few young lads knockin around admiring the car probally telling friends etc thats why i had the tracker installed and i live in da sticks theres a guy few doors down with a mint mustang never had any bother

Defo made the right decision in getting the car off the property.
I never relised how often I looked out the window to make sure it was still there.
Other half is so much more relaxed too.
I actually got sensor lights installed when I got the car another excuse to jump off
The couch when activated????
Maybe it's the area i live in or maybe it's bad timing/luck
Think I'll get a cheap wrx for trackday and store in somewhere ( get my moneys worth from the membership????????) Defo sticking around.

Defo. Sounds like you made the right decision.

I'm lucky where I live now in that the car is very tucked away in a garage and I'm in the sticks. Used worry me when I lived where the car was right outside the door. No matter how much security you have its not worth it for peace of mind for you and other half.

24 hour security cameras that are on record feeding into all TVs around the house. Garage alarm and house alarm installed. Sometimes I can't park in the garage but back at the back of the house beside the back door out of visibility of the main road.

Just have the car alarm but might get additional security after this thread!!

Sorry to hear about these scumbags have put you through. My first integra was broken into, little sh*ts bent the top of the door out, didn't know what they were at. One of them even cut their hand doing it. Went to the guards, basically said ok yeah we will note that and that was it. But I remember for weeks after waking up most nights to check and being uneasy in my house, horrible feeling. Luckily (touch wood) it hasn't happened with the cars iv bought since.

But if you and the family feel more comfortable with it gone (and im sure its made the misses Christmas ha) then you've made the right choice. And someone will get a cracking Scooby too, lets hope it stays in the club.
