Anybody know anything about these boys

It will just be a cheap Chinese made system, either with an unknown brand name or have there logo or brand name on it... I wouldn't be paying 500 for it regardless

Have a look for a 2nd blitz, apexi, kakimoto, hks etc etc

Just to ad, there is nothing wrong with buying a cheap Chinese exhaust, but again it's passed through a few hands it ends up being an expensive "cheap" exhaust..

Hayward and Scott are another good company based in Uk, and I beleive Scorpion make slot of the Rcm stuff..

I also had a scoobyworld ninja back box before and loved the sound

I bought mine from Cobra Sports in the UK... only one who wanted to give a life time warranty which was not affected by wrapping. Very happy with the bits I got and the service (very good responses to questions) and they don't seem any dearer than your original post below... http://www.cobrasport.com/

Had a H&S centre section which I fitted, but finish on it wasn't as good as the Cobra and dearer new and won't give you warranty if you wrap - go figure. In the past Hayward&Scott on my v3 and was good, but the stuff from last year was a huge disappointment and had to be remanufactured in a local shop to fit as their bend / welding was off by a couple of degrees and couldn't fit the pipe as it arrived from H&S.

Thanks for the replies. I have been looking for an exhaust for over a year now and just can't decide but I always end up hovering over the checkout button on scoobyworld's afterburner vortex! I did make the mistake of purchasing a cheap Japanese system off flea Bay and when it arrived looked nothing like what was advertised and was dented all over and had serious difficulty with the seller over returning it and the sob left me 70 quid out of pocket as refused to cover the return shipping so that has made me weary of buying online. Think I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet and shell out for a known brand from a reputable seller. The cobra does look good and wouldn't break the bank. Decisions decisions!

I would be looking for a good brand system... Use the opportunity of buying 2nd hand to get an expensive system for half the price .. Or as I said just buy a back box

Obviously would need to know more about it but regarding fitment of a 3" system, will it just bolt directly to a standard cat?

depends on the manufacturer, so do and some don't. BTW... this also applies to mix&match different components to make up a full system. Some roughly copy the bits from the original system for size and bends, but others route differently or purposefully make sections longer / shorter, and the result is you then have to buy everything from them in order to complete the system front to back (won't fit with OEM bits or other manufacturer bits). Moral of the story, check their site and if unclear email them and get it in writing.

If just looking to free up a bit of sound go for a backbox only, if you are looking for performance improvements you need to look for turbo back solution where you replace factory cats with a high flow sports cat or d-cat. Backbox won't require a map, but turbo back means you need to get it mapped as would run too lean and will lead to engine damage.
