anybody know this?

Is that the same car that was on donedeal with a blown engine and was for sale for 2k early last year in limerick.
Nearly sure it is, have a pic somewhere of it.
 
You just would not know, some guys say it has a small problem so you wont start or drive it, for talks sake say the engine is bolloxed or gear box gone, he could have turbo off it and have a fukd turbo andsay thats the problem, so you cant hear it running, and problem ends up being 1500 euro fix instead of 250.

Awhile back their was a Grey Type R for sale, I t was advertised saying that someone tried to rob it and broke the steering or steering colum etc etc, and that it could be started but would need trailering home.
So i rang and found it a bit strange that no windows etc etc had been broke :ponder:??? think he said he forgot to lock it :clap:, so we dealt on a price, agreed on it, i asked him was engine and box perfect he said yes, that i could drive it across his yard to check, so i was still iffy, so agreed on Saturday to go down, rang Sat morning no bother he was there, and i rang back about 30 mins after saying i wasnt going to trailer it home, that i was actually bringing down the tools and i had a full steering colum to go into it, and would he mind if i fitted in his yard, he said no bother, i loaded up the van with tools, and the colum, next i get a text saying that he just realised keys were in his mates car, and he was ringing his mate to come with them... long story short i never got the call to say he had keys and he wouldnt answer the phone then.. so its very like i called his bluff

got a 2nd opinion, and its the same car, stickers on the rear are the same, yellow plates aswell.
 
I think if it was perfect prob worth 6k.Is it worth a recon gearbox and engine? 2200euro would go a long way to fixing it,so still not too bad a buy imo. :dontknow:
 
man she's a sweet looking scooby just think you'd need a new gearbox or there cud be more wrong wit her bein tat cheap
 
Once she is straight I'd have a look if I was in the market, You'd sort any problem and still have a few quid. He'd drop on that price to if you where standing there with cash in hand. :thumbsup:
 
Defo worth a look, there maybe nothing else wrong with it other than a turbo.
And as Eric says, you would have good bargaining power i would be looking to be coming home with her for lot less, I wouldnt say its worth 6k, If its a V4 with non genuine v5 spoiler etc etc, its only worth around the 5k mark max in perfect condition
