i would say he meant miles eli as its a type uk sti,mind you the mileage is still only around 12.5k a year which is about average but i get where you're coming from it was obviously used a lot
 
No problem if its been maintained properly but no mention of it in the add.
If i had a car with that mileage that had been well maintained i would advertise that fact as i would have spent a solid fortune over the life of the car on servicing etc.
 
She'd be due its second timing belt to if it wasn't already done.
 
@ eli i agree with you if its been maintained properly up to now it wont be a problem,will just have to see when or if he goes to look at it and eric i was thinking of that too which if it needs to be done will be a decent bargaining tool

Sorry I can't seem to reply to the pm but in short.... the brakes are warped,theres knocking from the suspension,gear change is very notchy,its rusty enough at a quick glance underneath,the wheels are all kerbed,theres no service history,interior not too good,just not been maintained by the looks of it.

I've been looking for a blue blob eye sti for the last few months,they seem fairly scarce,im kinda loosing interest now
 
is it your alan obsidian black one alan and what kind of money would you be talking ? he wants either a black or blue
 
Now i know that 03 sti well a neighbour of mine owned it for a good number of years
I done a full detail on it when he was selling it about 6/8 months ago now that is miles an most of it is motorway miles he ownes a good safety buisness in town an travels the length an breath of Ireland
Now that car was never crashed one little dinge in the both lid that was in it when David had it the timing belt was done around 74 thousand miles an that car was serviced every 10.000 miles with out fail himself An his dad have a rally car an realy look after there motors realy well do be in getting detailing an Valeting done a good bit
 
@ alan cheers mate i will say it to him about it,as said he is looking for a black or blue one but he's been rushing to buy the first one he sees

That wasnt a cut at you or your mate Gordon, some of the comments and posts you see on threads like this really are a joke, when a car is up for a cheap price, guys still nit pick and fault find, its almost like a willy waving competition of who has the strictest criteria when looking for a car...
Talking about high mileage on a near 10 year old car, service history, rust on a Uk car, knocking shocks on a newage.. people go on about servicing these cars liuke they are something special, there not a Fukn Ferrari or Lambo, people are well capable of droppi ng the oil themselves and servicing themselves and not gracing the door of a main dealers to have service history etc etc... a bit of a reality check and some allowance for the price your paying is well in order
 
ye i totally agree ken and i didnt take it as a dig i always think its better to to possibly get some info on the car beforehand as it may save a wasted journey,there is some cars out there in good condition and worth the money but you know yourself ken there is guys on donedeal trying to sell absolute shite
i personally dont think the mileage on this car is anything less than average standard sti shocks will knock and a bit of rust is sometimes expected as you say on a uk car
i put this ad in the hope that maybe tom seen it and he confirmed everything my mate already knew about the car,that it is a well minded car with only a ding on the boot so it has to be worth a look going by that
i think your car and alan 555scoobys car would be two defo worth looking athe has seen a few he likes so will take it from there,i'd say his budget would probably stretch to between 7 and 8 grand surely get a decent one for that and sorry for the long winded post
