Anyone Know this car

hi garry. i was on my way to see this car and when we arrange day and time to meet and i told him is not a mcrae edition, he stop communicated. not replay from him at all :dontknow:
he advertised it as STI McRae edition. when i told him that this car isnt what he advertising as , he jst changed add on DD :cuckoo:
then i sent him sarcastic msg and asked him to send me some pic from engine bay and i'll tell him if its STI he jst changed his add again :eek7: :eek7:
its more likely wrx type R .im sure hi knows what he sell so be careful. :thumbsup:
 
Its a version 4 v-limited

May be sti or may only be wrx - they only way you will be 100% sure would be from the applied model code on the chasis plate

Either way I think the price is very high for a version 4 unless its pretty spotless

I was going to buy this wrx type r v-limited back in 2008 but i pulled out of the sale due to the lack of dccd etc, I wonder if that is what it is.....?

As far as I know the later one's like Version 5/6 have the same power as the sti....could be wrong though

Version 5 front on it though bar the grill it seems?
 
Yeah spotted the version 5 front so maybe had a whack?

Also agree its possibly only wrx...my (rather average) research suggests there were only 555 sti v-limited and 1000 wrx v-limited in version 4 model

text him & tell him to read the chasis code on vin plate...starts with gc8.....
 
that car was up last saturday for 3500, the way i look at it is good type r sell fast
a good type r for 3250 would be gone quickly so i would guess its recked
but i could be wrong...


im back looking at them recently and even cars for 5k are in a terrible state
 
As far as i know the WRX Type R didnt have a Roof vent.

Also late 1998 can be a V5, If its a V5, Then the Boot lids been changed, if its a V4 then front has been changed.

Genuine Version 3/4 V limited did have one Ken as you can see on the link I posted
