As above lad.... anyone know anything about this Forester based down in Cork...?

Head gasket went on the ol mans Opel last weekend and I've convinced him to go Subaru... especially after all the bad weather!

Anyways, looking for a 00-03 Turbo... and this seems to be the only clean, original and unmodified one coming up at the mo at reasonable money.

If anyone knows anything on it I'd apprecaite the heads up before making a trip down to Cork. Cheers... :thumbsup:
 
havent seen it around the city jamie, any info on where abouts in cork it is?
some of the other cork shams might know though...........
 
Looks a nice well looked after car. Wonder why he is selling though if it has been a joy to own and drive?
 
@ Johnny... he's in North Cork... bout 15 mins South of Mallow.

@ Andy... He's bought a 2005 Forester and just needs rid of it.

Spoke to him earlier on the phone and it seems reasonably legit. Gonna reg check it tomorrow and may pay a trip down this saturday if all seems ok.

15mins south of mallow is roughly 10 mins from my gaff, im not that well mechanically minded(only a bit from working on the leggy) but i could have a look at it body wise and listen for knocking and gearbox crunching etc if you want, test drive it for ya if possible :dontknow:

350 mile round trip for nothing.... left the house at 10am and got back at 6pm... he was even 45 mins late meeting me :icon_rolleyes: Once again car wasn't as described in advert. :angry1:

Bodywork was a disgrace... a dozen bad dents on PS... bonnnet & wing painted wrong black and with worst orange peel in it I've ever seen... clutch on last legs and absolutley no power.

I know these yokes are low compresion turbos with only 211bhp... but it was like driving a N/A boxer. No boost... no turbo spool up... just dead.

In hindsight Johnny, I should have gotten you to throw your eye over it ... but the owner told me several times over the phone I wouldn't be disappointed, so I took him for his word :icon_rolleyes: and thought it was worth seeing for myself.
 
what a disaster and a total waste of a day and juice :angry1:
my mate in cardiff sent me a few pics of a so called mint condition black rs coswoth 2 weeks ago (i wanted it straight away) and after he made a 2 hour trip to see it it turned out to be a right bucket of rust and an interior disaster....people who false advertise a cnuts :new_2gunsfiring_v1:

Fingers crossed something comes up in the next while... as my poor father is car-less at the mo.

If anyone knows of any clean Foresters Turbo's (MY00 - 03)... I'd greatly appreciate the tip off. :thumbsup:
