Went out to look at this in January when it was up for €5500 asking price about 20 min south of Kilkenny.
Car was originally intended to be a track car and totally stripped... then left in a shed for quite a while.
Then the chap I went to see it at bought it and started putting it back together.
Good points:
* Newish clutch
* Centre Pod gauges work
* fully polybushed
* no big accident damage
* turbo timer fitted
* In January only was on 2nd Irish owner and in the country since May '07
* Drove well, gears good, came up to temperature good and stayed at normal temp during drive.
Bad points:
* 6-padle clutch is very aggressive and juddery and stiff
* passenger side very badly resprayed with lots of "orange peel" (one of the main reasons I walked away as cost of doing it right made car too dear as chap wouldn't take less than €4500)
* Doesn't look like was big crash and could have been superficial transport damage, chassis looked straight from what I could see and no obvious fillers or welding.
* a lot of wear of driver's seat
* supposed to be mapped, but no proof or history so big question mark over it
* i/c spray not working and disconnected
* no underseal
* Odd tyres on it and one of the fronts is illegal as no E mark on it
* Wheels rub badly on full lock as size too big/wide
* no jack or boot liner or spare wheel (got lost in the shed during conversion)
* Registered as a 4 door instead of a 2 door coupe (probably for VRT saving)
I have a Cartell report if you are serious about wanting to look at it and can save you the cash on that one (pm me if you need it). There's nothing bad in it except that registered as 4 door instead of 2 door (to save VRT probably) and obviously there are gaps in tax and NCT. At the right price this could be a good one to put some money in maybe, but would need to be a lot better than current asking price as will take a few thousand to get her the TLC needed to tidy it up.
