no mentioning about tax or nct. looks like fully rebuilt engine, but i dont understand the whole "over boosting situation"

second is in limerick, not great pictures, but i dont mind heading to limerick and have a look, its not that far away from me. There are non of these for sale anymore, which makes me worried. at celtig tiger times donedeal and carzone were full of these. did they all died out?

both look like nice cars , the blitzen does it for me , but if a leggy is what your after B4Soon on here has his legacy up for sale , imo it probably is one of the nicest leggys in the country , see this thread https://isdc.ie/forum/threads/30722/ , this guy looks after his cars and would have been minded like a baby :thumbsup: worth a look :subaru:

seen that, i though he sold it already. ( maybe that was other one ). anyone know where he is about? something tells me he is on the other side of damn island :D.

i would like WRX/STI originally, but i am still open minded. damn i even scroll all 180sx and s13 :icon_rolleyes:

i loved those new shaped legacies, but i could never afford them, now those are all gone. my bet is that almost all of them were not remaped properly. i might go check that red one, though i wont even touch it if its not remaped one.

yup, after i sold my car, i am in search for last month or so. i was 100% sure i will get astra OPC before selling my skyline, but after i got money and read more info i got put away from them. then i was looking in to every single option. so far i decided on WRX/STI, but my friend threw idea of B4, so i might look in to it too. Who knows, i might like driving legacy way more, then impreza.

when i knew i want skyline, it was super easy. find one i like, then buy. when you are looking for something - its very damn hard.

he's in Galway , hardly an epic journey to view a really nice car .
 
The later one is a different model ..the white one is a BE with twin turbos and the red one is a BL model with a single,twin scroll turbo.
The earlier model is a quicker car it produces more power and a lot more torque across the rev range, lighter BUT it is not a s smooth as the later twin scroll much worse on juice and is more prone to problems with fueling.
Personally i would go for the alter model for that kind of money, you could get a decent BE B4 for about 3500 where as that's about the bottom price for a decent BL and should hold its value better...nicer interior and an all round more refined car.
The BL was only replaced in 09 so it's still quite a modern car

sorry, my english is not that best, as in alter model, you mean going for newer one?

i heard a lot of horror stories about B4 and how they blow engines with no remaps. i guess that will be very comman for older shaped ones. ( as you mentioned fueling problems too)

tommy 555, i know galway is not that far away, but its still a nice wee trip, which i need to plan out, because i need to bring my mechanic/friend with me.
 
Sorry should read "later" model...the Red one is a later model car.

The B4 is fine once treated right, the bad reputation is built on a number of factors..firstly shitty Irish fuel and not being mapped for it...being relatively cheap and cheap to insure the don't get treated with the respect a high performance engine should...all are imports and 99% have no history so you don't know what life they had in Japan.

Have a look at seans car you know it has been treated right and with respect.

yup, i sow that. funny enough misses loved the look of it even more then the red one ( pics shiet and black wheels does not make it look great too i guess ). no phone there, plus i dont see any mentionig of remap.

btw really thanks for info m8. helps a lot.
 
did you get any insurance quotes for an sti?

b4, piss easy insurance and very low, even chill insurance giving me for 700eu. My own insurance playing hard ball same way it did with mx5 and skyline. Skyline is even worse to insure then uk wrx or sti. i will do same thing like i did last time, call in to update details on my car, it will go up about 200-300eu again.
