Apple Green Petrol

Ive been using them since i got the scooby and its always run well and always seem to get a few extra
miles with them

Will stick in a tank of this at the weekend, I have a knocklink too & only very rarely get a flicker on it so will know straight away if this stuff is 99 octane.

Is knock not a pretty bad thing?? (detination) especially at high revs,
Are you's running different petrol than she was mappedf for? Who mapped her?

@ dan, as brian said it does flicker but doesnt shoot up to red, its just sensitive in that regard, always use e5 with booster nothing else, but will defo be looking into this and extra bonus if its cheaper.

Just topped up in green apple Ballincollig. No mention of E5 on the forecourt or pump anywhere.Staff working there looked at me with two heads when i asked about it. Cheap as chips though at only 1.27/lt :icon_rolleyes:

Lads be cautious , apparentely it may well be E5 , but that doesnt necessarily mean the RON has been bumped up to 99 as with Maxols stuff ..
Maxol are the only brand that categorically state that their petrol is 99RON .
From what lads on other sites are saying , there is only a marginal increase in RON over standard 95 pump fuel...

shuzzbutt !!!

@trevorm discount fuels up by cleayboy is run by applegreen and its the same petrol lad i work there..

I was in the apple off the M1 at the lusk/balbriggan exit yesterday, no mention of added ethanol anywhere, but 95 was written on the pumps. Still no responce from apple themselves, anyone else send an email enquiry?

Hey lads i work for applegreen and can conferm its e5 petrol, nothing else.. anymore info just ask
so can you confirm what octane rating it is? just Unleaded 95 or unleaded 99?

This is NOT 99 Octane fuel lads.

Put €30 of Applegreen fuel in my car yesterday (on top of a 1/4 tank maxol e5) and got the full of the knocklink flash at me twice on the way home under boost. Stopped straight away & threw in half bottle of NF & it stopped flashing at me.

For reference my car was mapped for 95 octane & a full bottle of Lucas but I've ran it on Maxol e5 only for the last year & barely a flicker from the knocklink even under full boost & high speed.
