Apple green petrol

As above I noticed over the last 2 weeks that the apple green at the start if ballyfermot had been getting all new pumps put in. When I went into it yesterday all the new pumps say unleaded plus with added octane , no it's the only one I have seen stating that just wondering has anybody else noticed it and have any idea what the octane rating is suppose to be

Thats their standard fuel now alright - its e5 being 5% enthanol mix. Unlike Maxol though they don't make any specific boasts about being higher octane - Maxol used to claim 99ron in the good old days

So is the apple green stuff better for the cars that were mapped for maxol
Or is it all the same ???

My car was maped for e5 and like a fool I was driving all over the place filling up with maxol until I realised that it wasn't e5 so using nf all the time total pain in the arse got map tweek for a few bits and back to 95 all the above is only ever going to be a guess and being ireland everything is done backwards be safe and get it mapped for 95 if it's not already

I'm pretty sure all unleaded now being sold is e5 - the difference being that they are all still 95 octane AFAIK.

All pump fuel in southern Ireland is now 95 Ron but with the new EU directive it MUST have a minimum of 6.3% ethanol added.

The only difference in the fuel is companies with their "special additives".

Tesco is shíte fuel. Stay well away from it even if you're running booster. Stay away from old Texaco's aswell. When I moved to Clonee I filled the DC5 in the local Texaco and it ran like a bag of shite. Dropped the petrol out of the tank and filled with fresh petrol in Balbriggan and it was running perfect again.

Topaz also have a load of additives to their fuel to make it "clean".

The only 3 places I've never had issues with is Esso, Apple and Maxol. By issues I mean the car running smooth. Anywhere else and my cars have been down on power aswell as running rough.
