Are these warning lights?

I put the foot down in the car tonight for the first time in about 2 weeks hardly driven it at all..and the handbrake light and battery light came on...are these warning lights? i know the battery is fine its only about 4/5 months old
I'm a car hypochondriac so if ya can put me ease be very grateful

Did the car de-rate or did you just get these lights on  :ponder:

I would not think you have any engine trouble without a check engine light or similar being on  :ponder:

NO michael no performance issues i noticed i did back off when i got the lights but....strange one..thanks for getting back to me
 
boll0x...thought it might be had a new one fitted when i bought the car..seems to be a weak point with the b4's...thanks paulo
 
Handbrake/battery combo is alternator... I did research on it before as it happened to mine. I got my alternator rewired for a few quid as Subaru wanted €600 for a new one!!!
 
Defo the alternator, had mine replaced about 2 weeks ago with the exact same symptoms. Dave Lewis supplied and fitted a new one for €210 as far as I can remember. Get it replaced now before the car dies in the middle of traffic.
 
Just buy a second hand one out of a crashed car to keep you going for the time being and get your other good one all nice and cleaned up, polished, re-wound etc.
 
fcukin thing completely died just about i just managed to save crossing the blessington road at the square! turned of all electrics and it just spluttered back to life..i was blessed cos it wont start now..anyone got an alternator?
