Very good!
Feckin love it! love it! couple of superchargers and she'd be shocking! (I'm never happy me)

How many F1 titles have Audi won??? :ponder2:
:hjtwofinger:

I remember seeing this ad on telly last year, really annoyed me! It was around the same time Peugeot whipped them at Le Mans!
They're delusional if they think they're even in the same league as Ferrari!

Fair enough, Audi and ferrari are not in the same league!
But Audi have made a truely wonderful car in the R8, much faster on real roads then any ferrari, (and I love ferrari's)

I Hate it when euro heads bang on about the Diesel R8 and its triumphant torque figures over the petrol version .....
Who cares , it still sounds like a tractor , and redlines at 5000rpm ....

I just simply hate diesel .... :icon_nana:

and every knobhead scumbag , and drug dealer where i live has migrated form a civic to a diesel A4 ... so i hate audi's as well ..
and to top it all off , they have the RS4 badges on them ...

Its not a diesel? its a V10( basically the same one from the MK1 Gallardo) The diesel version hasn't made production.

I know , but i know a few of the lads on other forums and they know i loathe diesel with a passion .... :new_argue:
so they are always throwing the diesel R8 concept in my face ....
so now i link the R8 with diesel .... and as such i hate it ...
even to the fact that when i was at the supercar trackday , every time an R8 passed , i turned my back

cant help it , its just one of those mnemonics things that happens in your brain

TDI make better every day cars than N/A petrols, But no so much with sports cars,
VAG's Diesel race car program is helping them to further develop there road going TDI's while also wining races, the Seat leon TDI touring cars very obviously out accelerate the petrol versions
Fair play to them for daring to be different,
I'd rather diesel than fecking electric motors, they don't sound very sporty!!
Dan

In fact its probably likely that diesel race cars will becoming more and more popular , didnt peugeot win the le mans with their HDI FAP , and audi before that in their TDI ... as you mentioned seat have been trialling the TDI in touring cars , and there was even talks of a TDI golf being prepared for rallying a number of years ago ...

If i ever hear a formula one car though with a diesel engine in it , its the day you will find me hanging from the rafters

Fair enough F1 should stay pure! But can any of that technolegy filter down to road cars??
New F1 engines are 2.4L V8 with 750bhp and 18,000rpm with an emphesis this year on fuel economy,
So Maybe we will have a 1.2 in line 4 with 375bhp in a road car!!
Either way, i think the push towards fuel efficiency is very good!
