AWD is the business. Even my 1.6 had no trouble doing me proud these last few days.
It's a pity Subaru wouldn't get a few adverts screened on TV during these days and show everyone how well it can cope in this weather.

For all the Forester gys

AWD has been great so far. I take my time coming up to junctions in case there is ice on them. Then if you want to have some fun give it some right foot and the arse kicks out :)

@Scouserlad2007 Had one very scary momeny myself going downhill and couldnt brake, went straight onto the main road but thankfully it was clear too. I may have got a bit too confident with me AWD.

@Anton I dont know for sure, but can guess, what "ustoppelig" means at the end in the video but i love it anyway! Nice one.

@kanye I must admit, I treat myself to a bit of fun at junctions also when there's no one around.

AWD is great for gaining momentum, it's the turning and stopping part where you can have problems.

@Anton good to see the Forester still getting the school run done

Still have the Type 25  The wife has the estate for the school runs when they start!

Off work again today :multijump:

I'm finding it brilliant, heading outta my place there is a big hill, and on Monday morning cars were slipping back down it. I drove up over taking the cars no bother

Ahhh the voice of reason returns! awd can only find the available grip but if there's none available well, you're going nowhere. I agree with Scruff ...it's not the going that's the issue it's the stopping and turning. My trusty 250 bhp fwd TT with fat low profile 245 40 ZR 18 tyres is all but useless trying to get up the slightest incline but my wife's crappy Pug 206 is great with its skinny tyres cutting through the snow. It just runs rings around my TT in this weather. I always think about getting another Scooby at this time of year but with 2k road tax and 26 mpg I'm just hoping Subaru get the new 2.0 direct injection Turbo engine out asap.
