im looking to remove my passenger side airbag from the dash, i believe that under it somewhere is whats causing a poxy rattle. ive loads of diagrams of the car sourced from the net but i cant find any that show the airbag. im hoping you dont have to remove the dash cause this usually brings rattles with it anyway, anyone any ideas?
 
the framework for the airbag is usually bolted to the dash or sometimes pop riveted on!!!
talk out the glovebox and have a good look around mick!!!!

cheers marko.....just afraid of it goin off in my face, i thought if i could find out where the loom is i could discon it first.
do ye know of any legal problem with removing it and say replacing it with gauges or something like that.
 
Disconnect battery and leave it for 40 mins at least. Then there can be no power goin to the airbag sensors. But work carefully all the same
 
wont pass an nct without the bag mick!!!!
you can buy a resistor which plugs into the wiring loom for the bag to keep the light off and is perfectly safe!!!!
dont go probing wires with everything still connected though!!!
10 mins is by far enough to power down the SRS system IMO...

mmmmm chocolate.......thanks lads.i had it in my head a while ago to put gauges in there but for the moment i just want to see if i can find the rattle. :thumbsup:
