B4 south link cork, 9.30pm

Cheers! She could do with being tidier! But we'll get there.... I was admiring yours myself. Very very clean looking car man. Love the kit aswell. Rare to see a 2003MY one of those too

Cheers man, the front bumper makes her stand out big time, few small bits and pieces to get myself still, door cards and floor mats etc, but handling and performance wise shes ready to rock at 296 hp, so hopefully over the summer she'll get to 100% have you much in your sights for yours?

Ya you'd notice it nice to see something a bit different though! Ah ya did you change the seats? Ya 296 sounds fun! I know im a bit below that at the moment. Must get her mapped sooner rather than later. Where did you get yours done?

Well other than the map, Im getting the bumper sprayed in the next few weeks cos its badly stone chipped. Very badly. I wanna lose the wheels for 17s. The rotas have been growing on me but you feel a lot through the 18s and I'll save on tyres in the long run. I like the original wheels that came on the Rev C anyway so I'd be happy out with them... Im thinking maybe dimpled and grooved discs I was looking at them on RSR automotive. Putting a K&N filter into it if it ever arrives. I know its a small thing but its just something I always get. Usually ads to the induction noise, well it made a nice change in my lexus anyway. Theres a 3" cat back on in aswell which Im gonna swap out for a 2.5" if i come across one handy enough. Few more tidying jobs here and there but shes not a bad motor as is.

she was mapped a few weeks before I bought her by the previous owner, TDP (track day performance) did the map on it, and yep swapped out the back seats for black leather, and these recaros are in the front.

just waiting on getting leather door cards to finish it off. mine was the same with stone chips, aswell, i know a guy does good work up near maryborough, he did a headlight restoration, tail light restoration, respray of the bumpers , sideskirts and rear bumper, and a machine polish all over, cost 850 and the thing looks brand spanking new when shes washed.

if you don't have any one, i'll throw you on the number if you want, he doesnt advertise as he's contracted to all the dealer ships in cork.

i have an apexi on the way for my own, alot of people don't recommend them, but i just love that induction sound too much :p
did you find much downside to the 18''s bar the cost? was half thinking of going for 18''s myself

Those front seats are very nice! Much work getting them to fit? Suit the car too I think...
Thats not bad for 850 looks like he did a good job anyway! I had a fella lined up for the respray that I used before but I might give your lad a shot be nice to get the lights done. My back bumper is very clean anyway and skirts are ok might get bonnet and bumper sprayed and the lights done.

Where you order it from? I normally order mine online but i went to Barrys motorsport this time and its been weeks they keep saying its delayed or never turned up with the delivery. Ya I like the induction noise myself! Prefer it to exhaust noise actually...

The 18s were on it when i bought it. Wasnt gone on them when i saw the pics but in the flesh i think the look well. Honestly I'd keep them if we had better roads. Big wheels always find cambers easy aswell. Im only thinking of getting rid of them as a comfort thing tbh. Car rubs sometimes if you are giving her a bit of stick on a back road. Tyres too thick on the wheels too. But if changed then the ride would be worse. Have a drive off her sometime see if you notice the difference with the 18s

yeah they give it a nice retro look, just new rails and they fit perfect, nice driving position off em, i reckon theyre prob a little lower than the originals.

and if you got the bonnet and bumper sprayed headlights done, and then a machine buffing all over, it would probably look very close to brand new. i'll mail you on that number when i have it handy anyway incase you do want to use him.

and had a buddy ordered an ecu of barrys motorsport, think he was waiting about 6 months at this stage, still no sign of it, ordered the kit of nengun.com , but showed the M.A.F adaptor in the picture, and it never came with the part, sent then emails every day for 2 weeks and no word back from them, ended up ordering the adaptor else where, wouldn't recommend Nengun to be honest, probably be the last time I use them any way.

rubbing is the only thing im worried about with moving up on size tbh, im between two minds about what to do, n yeah definitly sure you can see what you think of the standard 17's and see if the 296bhp will be worth getting a map for ya :p

hopefully get the membership sorted the next week or two so should be at the next cork meet id say! had planned on going to the last one but couldnt make it in the end!

Ya they do they are a nice contrast with the colour of the car too..

Ya thats def something I'd look into anyway sound for that....

6 months thats some joke! They had to order that filter off a different supplier for me there on monday. If its not in by next week I'll be telling them shove it... Thinking of changing my disks soon now aswell..

The rubbing is only an issue depending on which roads you use most really like I wouldnt notice it day to day but tis when I go for a blast up a back road or something it gets annoying....

Id reckon I'll be at the next one myself unless work clashes with it. Hoping to go to cars and coffee at the weekend but not sure if i can go now..
