hey everyone.... i know this is going to sound as if i know nothin but it has been wrecking my head for ages now and i taught this would be the best place to sort my problem out :hammerhead:

I am going to import a b4 RSK from japan but i need it to be a manual twin turbo... whats been bothering me is that i still cant find a legit answer to weather or not all b4 RSK's are twin turbo or if you can get them non or single turbo.

The last thing i want is to import the car to find that its not what i want.
My reason behind getting it from japan and not here is simply because i want one with as low miles as possible.
I intend on saving up more cash for a few more weeks/months so I can put a good bit into it

If anyone has any advice or can help with my question it would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

There is a non turbo, has no bonnet scoop, afaik still called a B4 though.
The B4 RSK are all twin turbo,
No such thing as a single turbo unless an aftermarket expensive conversion done, i havent seen one yet.

Its hardly worth importing with all the bargains that are to be had here?? Low mileage too...

Sweet ! thanks, that question was killing me :icon_hang:

Honestly im still not sure, i am going to save up for another 2 months or so and put about 10k into buying it so when i see whats around then i might consider home :icon_headbang:
The thing that annoys me about importing it is then having to re map it and servicing etc so defo haven't made my mind up yet.

thanks again

There is a B4 non turbo, which is B4 RS i believe. As eli said no scoop on bonnet,
All B4 rsk's are twin turbo,
There is a B4 blitzen, which has porche designed bodykit,
There is the GTB for the estate lovers, Lovely cars.
And finally the All important, S401&S402. I dont know if there is one in the country,
Rarest legacy out there, lovely car with some nice extra's as standard.
Then the newer ones there is the sti legacy.
best of luck with what you decide.

IMO i dont think importing is the way to go, 10k will get you alot of car over here - serviced/mapped etc....

Check out John's, or Rob's! 2lovely cars, well looked after and still relatively low mileage!! The way the Yen rate has shot up lately you'll find yourself spending a lot more than usual. And thats before you take into account the price of servicing and a map! Plenty of low mileage bargains to be had in Ireland these days!

Good luck with your search though!

 thanks for the advice lads ! maybe buying here is a better idea. still the same though, i gotta save up for a month or two and look into what i can do to it when i get it :geek:

this will be my first decent car, going from a 316i to it so should be fun. Girlfriends brother has a 470 bhp rx7 and brother in law has around the same hp r32 gtr so i have allot to aspire too hah ! might not really hit that point with the leggy but aiming high :049:

if i was you riche i would get a drive in a b4 rsk before deciding what to go for

its goin to be alot quicker than your 316i but you wont be able to bounce it of the limiter like you would in the bmw

i dont know how far you would be able to go with the leggy but dont expect it to feel like a 470 brake rx7.

as the lads said above dont go near japan at the moment as the exchange rate is sh*t, buy a leggy over here with all the work done plus the map as its very important and it will be way cheaper

if u dont want to buy hear there is a place were i bought mine in japan and they take euro and ship it here for u the website is WWW.japan-partner.com but be careful a lot hidden charges so u would be better off buying here i wouldn't buy from there again if u want anymore info give me a shout and i will help u has much as i can

Buy from home all the way at the minute..as Duffman says the yen is not worth a shite at something like 132:1..

Plus you'll wanna be servicing her and mapping it as soon as possible really which the majority of cars are!!

Best place is really the likes of here where you know what your getting and there are enough people

to back it up as they know the cars.

Its not a plug but thats my honest opinion and regardless, history of the car and knowing it has been looked after is worth

its weight in gold as you can get stumped with an engine not worth a sh1te.

Best of luck
