Not only do ya get 1....... But ya get 1 in distress to put back to rights.......

Just cause the poor yoke is sick dont mean its not a good motor....
Glad ur back in the drivers seat mate....
Best of luck with gettin her tip top again

Re: Back in Business!!!

dont scrimp and scrounge on doing the engine rebuild to get her running quickly mate!!!!
take your time and get it done right as the funds allow and then you'll avoid further problems in the future!!!
well done though!!!!

Re: Back in Business!!!

cheers lads,

dunno what to do with the engine its a funny one

the engine that was in it went 2 years calfed ago so he ordered one from england paid 1600 euro and turned out to be a dud so he got a good block honed the cylinders put the crank out of the dud one in which he says is 110% then put the heads of the dud one on he said it turns over and sound good turning over but spits flames back through the manifold now im not a qualified mechanic but i know enough to rebuild an engine etc. etc. so it would sound to me like the timings off but i could be wrong with a boxer engine?? if someone could correct me?? could he have it 180 out on timing?? then he said he put the cams back in the way they came out so he`s not sure if the in wrong sounds a bit mad to me, he also got another ecu and bits and bobs but still no joy but it is sparking on all 4 coil packs and its fueling. it seems he really looked after the car when it was running so its really clean,
Can anyone tell me did they come with a light weight bonnet?

Cheers Niall

Only suggestion i can make is to let someone look at it that knows alot more about the engine than u or I would know!!!!! Maybe one of the lads would know of someone that could look at it without chargin ya a fortune.... ya seem to be handy enough with it? if someone gave u a point in the right direction maybe you could fire it up???
