bad idle

Hi Dave, ive a 98sti type r v4 and when coming to a stop at a junction the engine idle drops nearly cuting out.the idle goes up and down for a few seconds then it idles perfect.The engine light comes on from time to time and when i plugged it in it showed up 1-speedo sensor and 2-unknown fault. The speedo seems to be working fine but i put a new snsr in anyway and it made no change.Decided to put brand new maf sensor in yesterday and its still the same.Any ideas? maybe idle stepper motor? Would be greatful for any advise.Thanks.
