hey was just wonder wat sort of money are v4 sti going for ,its mint with full v6 facelift and crystal pack, rebuild about a year and a half ago and always run on e5,new tyres, regularly serviced etc.just wondering wat it would be worth in this climate.

sorry its 98 and 130 kilometers on it of only 30 are on new block. :1poke:

dont mind wetpatch he's just not having any luck selling his one.

you d have to give more info for a price, like

colour
who did the build and what was done in it
why was the face lift done
was it mapped
mods
etc

its white in colour, facelift was done coz some1 tapped the back of the car and i had to go through the insurance bureau and got enough to get v6 front, red stuff pads and 4 t1r's:D,so car is well maintaned, would have to get 7.5k for it,its mint, when rebuilt i got a new ej20 short block from c+r,heads wer skimmed and timing belt and water pump and has been run on e5 ever since, serviced regularly.this is a pic of her.

No Dave, but please tell us though because thinking happy thoughts dont seem to be selling mine.

but all people are doing by reducing their prices is reducing the price for every1,its a given that nothing is selling quick, but try not to get desperate, southside has 2 v4 type r's and correct me if im wrong ,but recently they were looking for 12,500 for them ,which is crazy, you could drive out the garage and it could start knocking and you would have no come back, jap dealers very rarely entertain waranties,at least with most of ours, they would have had a good rebuild, ran on e5 or even re-mapped,so why should they ask for 12,500 and you only 5,i think there worth 8,000 all day long,it is just a kick in the nuts how the market is. :subaru:

I think there worth 9k + also but unfortunately i don't have the option of letting it sit there for that price. I need to sell it fast, so i don't really appreciate other members making snide comments about members who are being forced to sell there cars for next to nothing when infact they don't have a clue about mine or anybody elses situation. And personally i don't give a monkeys that me or other members prices effects the price of there cars.

Thats true but southside gave me 6 months engine and gearbox and took the car back twice when nothing was really wrong with it..all garages give min 3 months engine and gearbox I dont know any that dont.

And as for people reducing the market price...the market price is what people pay not what you think its worth...Lads where selling bugeyes for 12k and I didnt hear anyone complaining then.

I think legally they have to give 3 months warrenty.

fair enough we all have finacial worries im sure,im just ayin its unfortunate when we have all spent so much time and money, but as they say its a buyers market,ye the garages will entertain you to a certain extent, but if you went back with big end trouble i would find it hard to believe they would give you a rebuild, happend a mate of mine with a scooby and even tho we knew the dealer it was touch and go trying to get him to stand by the warranty,oh and get this ,that was only a few hours after leaving the garage that it start knocking,so 2 months down the road there wouldnt be a chance,im just talking from personal experience. :subaru:

listen wetpatch i hope you dont think i was havin a go or commenting on you circumstances,i totally unstand the boat wer all in,and unfortunatly im not a(w)banker or a politican so i dont have money either, was just sayin theres a drastic change in the market from 6months ago.

ej20 none of my arguments where directed at you mate sorry i gave that impression.

You should sell your car for what ever you think its worth. I wish the market was where it was 10 ago but unfortuantly it isnt.

Good luck with your sale if u go ahead with it.

if your upgrading the market crash is a good thing, IMO
the more expensive car you want to buy just got cheaper?
i lost maybe 1500 when i traded up but saved 3-4k on the new car

I assume thats directed at me?

You personal situation is nothing to do with me. Nor wat you sell your car for. In the good times and the bad there is always bargains out there for buyers from owners that need a quick sale for watever their reason.

My point is the comments from lads on here when a lad puts a car up for sale for X amount and gets jumped upon for their price and telling them its only worth a quick sale amount.

All this does is ruins watever market is left for the subaru brand and guys looking to sell.

And quite clearly said you don't give a sh*t about the market price of said cars and nor how it effects your fellow members. And thats upto you.

DAVE

Yup thats me. Im single handedly distroying the Classic model market :icon_rolleyes:

Maybe you should ask a few other members to form a Cartel with you :dontknow:
