Band Expander

You can get them in halfords as far as I know, otherwise try some of the more specialised shops in dublin or ebay etc

I got one in Halfords a few weeks back. Took the radio out and it turned out i didn't need one. There was an aerial lead tucked away in the corner so all that was needed was an extension lead for it. Working fine since. Check your own one first just to be sure if it is a band expander that you need and not just an extension. €7 for an extension and €24 for a band expander in Halfords in Drogheda.

I'll be getting a new radio at some stage when the funds are flowing a bit better me thinks... must take a look at it, although I am terrible at taking things apart!

saw a few on there alright, always a bit wary of techy stuff on flebay, been stung before!
I'll take a look and see what the craic is, although a new radio is on the list!
Cheers guys

I got one on ebay couple of years ago, about 12euro delivered, threw it in, working fine since.
Just check through the feedback of the seller.

I dont think the signal quality is great in my yoke but think its a Subaru issue rather than a band expander issue! The frequencies still stay in Jap which is a pain, but once you have your channels stored it makes no odds.
Was considering changing to an aftermarket unit but the standard one is not bad looking in mine and ties in well.

hehe thanks, I've given up at this stage!

Diesel Tom, sounds grand, whereabouts are you located?

I have one lying around. Works ok but can get annoying in more remote area's. You can have it for nothing. PM me if interested.
