I think i need to replace my battery car wont remote start on some mornings and today after wok she took a few seconds to start up. Is there any particular brands i should avoid? i heard halfords ones aren't great. or will any of the quick fit type places ones do the job grand? how much should i be paying for one?
 
I've used Halfords batteries for years with issue.

Only problem I had was when I left the car lying up for weeks. But you do get a 3 or 4 year warranty depending on the model you buy so they can't be that bad.

Most garages don't give you any warranty :thumbsup:
 
100 euro for a battery in Halfords, seems a bit steep! surely they would be a bit cheaper in a motor factors? This is the first car battery i have needed to buy! :lol:
 
well worth it dan if you a decent warranty!!!
you can get cheaper but will be an inferior product!!!!
what code is on the battery(065 :ponder2:)???
AA sell varta batteries which i believe are a top brand and offer a 3 yr warranty!!

well the Halfords battery is HCB005C(calcium one!), not sure of the one in the car at the moment, will venture outside and have a look
 
that code must correspond to a different part number!!!
i bought a varta one from a motor factors that cost 95 retail but with the trade discount....58 euro!!!
