Been looking for something to replace B4 if it sells

As you all know my car has been for sale now for a while.I had the first genuine viewing of it earlier this week. Question is-if it sells-what do I replace it with????? As much as a "normal" car makes sense right now-I'm not sure I could handle not having my toy outside. I wont borrow money or dip intp savings-whatever the car sells for is the budget. Problem is,my car is 2003,136k km on the clock,lovely condition,280 odd bhp,AWD,beautifully comfortable,and being a REV-D model is extremely rare-particularly with all the factory extras on mine. I really cant see what will replace that for similar money. What would you all buy??? Say 5k budget?

jap or european?
if i had around 5k to spent id have something from the merc C class or E class range......

sold my merc c 180 a few weeks back, had it over a year and never gave me a bit of bother.....unlike my rs :whistle:
 
Johnny-I'd like something petrol and jap again as it wont be a daily driver. Don't like C-class mercs and E200 kompressor quite slow.
 
I've had a DC5 type-r and a ukdm DC2 type-r,and an EVO VI amongst others. I'm 32 now so hondas are out really-along with silvias and the like.
 
a nice accord... typeR or euroR.... 2.2 K20 DOHC VTEC..about 230bhp and some nice comforts like leather and very comfortable to drive...
 
You've pretty much ruled everything out.

Could go crazy and get a 2JZ Aristo haha

Why are Silvia's out? A nice S15 is surely something to aspire to?
 
Silvias are fast becoming like civics-thugs cars. If any accord i'd get a uk spec proper type-r but insurance and tax are crap. I'd love an RX-7,but old now and i have space issues in them(6'2" and 15 stone). Aristo-tax again. Really isn't anything to compete with the B4. Prodrive bug maybe but thats over the 5k. I see John M's old one up for reasonable money :ponder:
 
dip in the savings and get a Nice EVO 8 MR fq320, if i could only afford one!!! :pray: very nice all rounder and probly the best evo there is,better than the fq400 any day!!!
 
@Blain-why buy a 320 when there's an EVO 8 MR FQ340. Wouldn't have either over a red makinen anyway-thats the best evo by miles.
 
if you got only 5k eu then i dont see any point in swaping subaru for anything out there, you already ruled out fun stuff and legacy is a great all arounder. lots of power and comfort.
 
never really liked the makinen!! Im not 100% on this but what i hear is the fq320 is much cheaper than the bigger versions and has pretty much the same performance if not better,reason being the fq400 for example has a serious amount of turbo lagg...but anyways id love any of them,lad next door to me has a evo 8 mr fq400, serious machine?would love one apart from probly never get insurence and well under 20mpg... fu*k that for a game of darts!!!
