Best and Worse Moments

What are your best and worst moments of Subaru ownership?

My best one would have to be the Charity Drive 2008, was great day all in all and had a great drive home with a few of you, me in the daddy of Subaru, the Legacy leading 4 or 5 Imprezas back up the N81 from Bunclody. Oh and some of you will remember my run in with the Shivic brigade and everyones run in with Mr Saab on the way into Waterford  I know Brian does

A close second was driving out of a boggy field at Electric Picnic while a Garda tried to tell me I couldn't make it...pffft...AWD bitch. Away I went :subaru:

My worst one has to be the day I sold the Legacy, it was awful watching it being driven away, I still miss that car and its been nearly a year. :icon_cry:

Best was passing STI's at japfest in a B4.

Worst was sliding down an icy hill and smashing into my neighbours rav 4

best was scooby shoot out 2008 , some roads and radio Niallyboy for company all the way , savage

worst moment was seen my 3 month old 1.6 after been rear ended by a hit and run driver , caught the bitch tho

best day was a great day the last time a charity drive to bunclody was done and japfest in 2008....
enjoyed the agm this year also!!
as for the lows... :zzzz: :zzzz:

Worst day was waking up to find my pristine Bug Eye STI gone walk about never to be seen again :icon_cry:

Best day was last weekend leaving STI Tuning after having some goodies fitted and being remapped :subaru:

Best moment was finally getting a turbo subaru after all the years and money I spent doing up lesser models!!

Worst despite it being a 1.5 FWD was selling my blob eye wagon loved that car . Haven't seen it around since?? :subaru:

Best: Tearing between stages on Rally Ireland 2009 - wet roads, turbo whistle, dump valve heaven

Worst: Paranoia about theiving vandalsing scum

Best moments

The first time i fired her up after getting the H+S cat back installed ...
Feel The POWAH

That feeling you get when Pissing over TDI's when they run out of puff at 100mph , as the second turbo comes on song and its time to light the fire

Worst moment
When dave confirmed that i had melted a piston and a rebuild was in order ....getting her back after the build was amazing though

Best Day was charity drive 06- Handing over the signed overalls to Little Eoin, Proud day for me and as a member of a wonderful club
Worst Day- 29th Aprl 2010- Last Day of subaru ownership in 8 years :icon_cry:
Cheers
John

Best was the day that i picked her up from dublin port, sat in and fell in love instantly
worst was the day the head gasket melted and then again when i put the quarter panel into the boot thanks to the pitwall in mondello

best : first time ever on track at japfest ( think a black b4 was in front of me , but dissapered out of sight ) . mad to get back out ! :icon_headbang:

worst : jan of this year , snow, ice and kerbs ,,,,, nuff said :wall:

Best: Flying round mondello passing impreza's everywhere  ... completing the full 6 speed conversion after months of heartache... :049:

Worst: Being woken up by a phone call from the guards in the middle of the night telling me the car had been stolen... sick feeling... Then again when the 6 speed box I had in the car crapped itself :icon_redface: :icon_redface:

Best: probably the starting of engines yesterday at the charity event, the thunderous sound from the boxer engines and all the dump valves as the revs died down.

Worst: when i drove onto a national road in front of someone. i looked left and right, got distracted and neglected to look left again until the brother shouted at me but it was just too late then.

If i could add.......

Funniest moment: I hear a young fella's voice outside the car window as I'm sitting in the car in Punchestown -> "Definitely this one" - and then he plants a flyer from Tallaght Powder Coating on the windscreen. I didnt think my alloys were that bad!! but i suppose they were shown up a bit compared to the other absolutely pristine cars.
