I use this App with a Bluetooth OBD connector. App was only €4. Only problem I've had with it, is the App needs to connect to it's server to donwload parameters and settings for new ECU's and Mobile broadband doesn't cut it. Only home WiFi connects to the server properly and downloads.

Can also read fault codes etc with it.

So I could run a tablet that has bluetooth in conjunction with a bluetooth ODB connector? Anyone link what I'd need, its worth looking at but I wonder will be exactly real time or slightly behind through the bluetooth connection?

I'm sure HR Tuning have a Tunerview diagram and it's not an expensive kit at all. I had one in the DC5. Only thing is you've to wire it direct to the ECU. They're extremely helpful if you email them.

When I get home in the morning I'll send you a pic of the Bluetooth adapter I have.

As Eoin said buy the torque app for your phone https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.prowl.torque&hl=en
and a adapter http://torque-bhp.com/wiki/Bluetooth_Adapters
From what I can gather is the boost gauge isn't accurate as it will be slightly laggy for a start due too the baud ate off the bluetooth dongle
hence why I said fit a lamco boost gauge to for that side off things
you could try it yourself for small money and see how it is
heres a thread on it with different views on it http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2367682
be handy to have either way :dontknow:
Think ill order one myself anyway and try it out

Cheers lads

Eoin, which one of them did you get? And if the bluetooth didn't work on the s204, should you have gotten a different one?

Would a cable option be better then in that case Colm? Would it be accurate then? And could it plug straight into the tablet/phone micro usb?

Is that the one you gave me Eoin is it ?
I tried it and couldnt get it to connect either even on other obd2 cars
they seem to give trouble those ones "Adapter from China/via ebay/amazon" as mentioned in the wiki for torque adapters
wrong bluetooth code to connect or something
maybe im wrong but I cant see the jdm impreza not connecting
theres lads on youtube in jdm ipreza running it
and I think all cars since 2001 or so have to be obd2 compliant

Yes Robbie it would be the best
It would eliminate the lag
Might work with a tablet as the device would have to have a usb connection
I see they have one on the list there so it should be possible
Maybe with a phone too
It would have to be looked in to more
But that would be ideal all right

I see the best bluetooth one there on the list has a speed off 80PIDs/sec (200 dollars)
while the usb one has 165 PIDs/sec (50 dollars but mine cost 12 on flea bay )
I have a cable there if you want to borrow it and just download the app in that case
you will need a tablet I think for usb

Yeah Colm. Thats the one i gave you. A bluetooth one. It worked perfect on the BMW. Getting a wifi one now. An ebay one for 15 bucks i think. There seems to be a lot more than one protocol so some will work in some cars etc. Cable probably more compatible but may be untidy. Bit of a try it and see i guess. :argh:

I've this one Robbie.

Worked fine on my DC5 and that's JDM. Took a while to download the settings to read the ECU in comparison to other cars but it worked eventually. Worked fine on an Irish WRX. Haven't tried it on my own yet as haven't needed to.
