wont u need a diff, driveshafts, dccd ecu and controller aswell?

one of the above places were sending down a gearbox with a similer but different code and said itd be alright.
and another was sending me a drive shaft without asking how many splines was on it, ''no bother we have it''.
but the lad in api, i had to email pics and pics to make sure i was getting the right one. he said there was a few different types.

I am just looking for a normal 6 speed box, not 1 with DCCD so wont need anything to do with the ECU... I will just need a clutch, gearbox and a main driveshaft from the gearbox to the diff that will fit... The 6 speed box is longer so need a shorter driveshaft... I have been told by a couple of people that a impreza automatic one will fit... Either that or i get my own cut and balanced...

Only later blobeye sti models as far as i know...

you will need clutch , gear box , drive shaft , rear diff , rear half shafts, and fly wheel and i am not sure but maybe gear box mount too , alot of work what are u planning ?

Nope none of the early TypeUK Blob STi's are AFAIK

As above Rob....what work are you planning to go for a 6 speed,its going to be of no benifit to you at the moment....

just wondering how the shorter ratios will effect the torque spread..you might have to go parrallel with the turbos

the 5 speed clutch and flywheel will still fit and work fine with the 6 speed box .

2 reasons really for the change...

1. This is the second time the diff has gone on me on a B4 gearbox and its apparently quite a weak point with them, so with the price of sterling at the moment, I thought it might be worthwhile to have the strenght of the newage box as well as the shorter ratio 1st-4th for better acceleration.. There are a few people in the UK running them without changing the diff so thats alright..

2. I want to go for bigger power later this year... but i will have to do the engine, turbos, and intercooler... and there is no way that the Standard gearbox will not stand up to that..
