bhp figures

pat the farmer

Sunday Drivers
hey guys how is it hanging.i met some of you on saturday at the the rolling road session.just a quick question, the first time the doc ran me car it was 286bhp.he then ran it a second time for the boast and she read 290bhp and thats the print out he gave me so which figure is right.

Welcome Joe :subaru:

290bhp would be the one to take. Sometimes after the car is standing for a while, the gear oils need time to warm up again and you get slightly better figures when they do

welcome along pat.

nice to meet you on saturday. your car looked great and ran well.

as robby said, your car could run another run and hit 295 bhp, usually as the car warms up it hits its peak bhp then as it gets to hot it will drop, usually between 2 to 3 runs will get her to the best temp for running her.

hey guys, thanks for all the replies.thanks duffman for the back up.Dave it wasnt about the 4bhp.ive heard alot about rolling roads throwing out different figures and every 1 on saturday i talked too said that, that 1 was the best.So i was a little curious about the 2 figures i got.So Dave if we were too meet on the road would 4bhp make a difference???!!!!!!!!!!!!Getting back too the rollers, duffman, i didnt like a stranger revving my baby too 7000rpm and it was the first time i let some 1 else drive her but it had too be done.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
