Big Falls in the Oil / Petrol Commodity Markets Today

Jesus lets hope so Michael  it cost me €67 to fill mine from the amber light on Monday, and mine's a small tank :cuckoo:

As per usual they'll take weeks to bring the prices down at the pumps even though the barrel prices have dropped... unlike when they go up and it's an instant increase! :icon_rolleyes:

Count yourself lucky Nic. €84 I put into the B4 last monday plus half bottle of lucas @€14 a bottle so €92 :lipsrsealed:

My local Maxol was 148.9 this morning, it's now 151.9. Looks like they have offset any drops in oil prices by bumping the prices up already.

Hello Lads & Ladies,

I just had another check on how the market is going on in the US.

The price falls are continuing to be significant:

OIL ($/bbl)
PRICE* CHANGE % CHANGE TIME
Nymex Crude Future 100.41 -8.83 -8.08% 14:05
Dated Brent Spot 111.20 -9.43 -7.81% 14:15
WTI Cushing Spot 102.75 -6.49 -5.94% 12:11

OIL (¢/gal)
PRICE* CHANGE % CHANGE TIME
Nymex Heating Oil Future 290.40 -23.90 -7.60% 14:04
Nymex RBOB Gasoline Future 310.94 -21.31 -6.41% 14:04

These falls are significant we viewed against day to day trading values. Although only a small % of the oil / petrol we use is actually traded on stock exchanges, these prices are normally used to define pump prices etc

Cheers,

Michael

Andy, how do those figures compare to here in terms of ratio to wages\salaries etc? The figures are similar to here but I'm just wondering would those prices to slovakians translate to something like €2 a litre to us??

Average wage here is 500/600 per month. So those prices would be concidered quite expensive.
