Black bug in Sailin Galway

I'm hearing reports now that when the revs get a bit high, the car cuts out for a second but cuts back in again and carrys on ok after that.
What is that a sign of or could it be anything??

well, the car is in Prague now and I think it's probably worth more dead than alive out there so it might not make much difference. ..
