Black Friday

I know 😭😭😭😭
I'd fuckin love those, in that colour and all. Epic wheel...fu*k 2.5k or 3k for wheels tho then tyres on top 😭

To be fair Youre money will come back on the genuine and You cant beat the real thing , but the replicas at that money would be hard to turn down for a go

Thats what I mean like.
And the likes of Rota wheels used be terrible reps..the quality has improved by them, they used to be very weak but now they're on all sorts of motors and used at drift events and all. Still nothing compared to Rays for quality but as you said, for the price it's hard to say no.
Fuckit I've had genuine OZ wheels crack on the WRX and it was only a small sized pothole lol

Always found Rota's to.be great alloys, ran them for years on different cars and never ever cracked or broke on me and I used them on sh*t roads and track. I agree they are not TE37 but are great bang for your buck. Dontommy is loading the shotgun now as I speak over mentioning Rotas in the same breath as TE37. πŸ₯°

Set of rotas are not much cheaper that a set of real wheels. And there are plenty reals out there for handy money. The advans in the competition photo l got for 350 euro for example. Everyone to their own but l do believe that on a sports cars that are driven hard one thing that can't be compromised is the quality wheel and tire.

Agreed...but like that, the quality has massively improved on the likes of Rota. They all have to meet a certain standard either way, it's proper cheap unbranded ebay shite that will crack on a speed bump. Yeah, rota won't hold the same value, or be as strong as real wheels, but not a badly made wheel by any means IMO

I wouldn't use em on a rally car, we'll put it that way, but for daily driving..grand

Real wheels are normally alot lighter and stronger than reps.

Te37 in 15" are only 3.7kg a corner, one of the lightest wheels available from memory(open to correction on that)helps massively with unsprung weight.

Weight Wouldn't make an ounce of difference to alot of people though.

I ordered a set of jr wheels for a car few years back.finish was terrible, didn't even use them in the end.

Yeah being honest, a mate of mine bought JR11 for a lexus, horrible wheel, similar to the XXR 527 but as you said, the finish was shocking.
There's still on the car tho.
JR wheels haven't the greatest reputation...but I haven't heard any horror stories about Rota with years.
I wont be buying genuine RAYS for a loooong time anyway lol πŸ˜†

Believe it or not new genuine wheels are normally alot cheaper if you buy directly in Japan and get someone like jessestreeter.com or firstjoyce to send them over.
They can take a few months to be made,so may not suit someone in a hurry.

People sometimes pay alot more for used wheels, that can still be bought new, cheaper.

Really?
And like...with shipping etc included you mean?

@Eoinmack As much as I like Rays, they are anodized and if scratched, impossible to colour match. It would need a full refurb of all wheels and very hard to get the correct colour. This was my reasoning for not going down that route.
Consider a set of OZ or Protrack wheels next, amazing wheels that are forged and lightweight for both.

If that fails, I have a set of Rotas in Bronze that I could potentially put for sale next as I need a clearout of the attic. 17 inch though but 8j in width with ET35, perfect for the newage cars.

Grids? I know there's a set of Rota similar to the Prodrive OZ wheels which I already have...so if similar to those..I wouldn't bother lol πŸ˜†
If I'm not going Rota, I'll be going real...and there is a set I already have my eye on but very pricey lol so we'll see lol
