Blitz Nur Spec R Fitting

Hi guys,

I have very little knowledge on exhaust systems, so i'm looking for abit of help on this one and point me in the right direction.

I have the PPP package on my 2005 Impreza WRX, so Prodrive Backbox and a de-cat not sure which one they remove and the resonator is gone its just a straight pipe. I believe its all 2.5" pipe not 100% on that.
If i was to buy a Blitz Nur Spec R and i see they come with the centre pipe aswell, my question is will it just bolt on to my current system and use the same hangers or do i need to do some work to make it fit?
Since i have the Prodrive map, will the blitz be okay or do i need a remap for that? If i need a remap i don't think i will the exhaust makes it every expensive.

I'll be in the market for good 2nd hand one, before i fork out for a new one.

Your euro model has a shorter centre section then jdm


So need to make sure if new or second hand you order correct.

Wonder if you can buy the one in the for sale section off the classic and fit it
Is it just one hanger on the back box that is different
And just needs to be cut and welded back on facing the opposite direction
Worth checking as would be much cheaper ?
Maybe someone would know

I was thinking i could just get the " S " which has the 2.5" Flange which should allow it to bolt straight into my current middle section.

Not sure about the classic, if he was closer id look or if i had a lend of one to see how it lines up, but no point taking chances and wasting money.

I will throw up a wanted ad later on, maybe someone will have a good " R " or " S " for sale, serious money new defo abit of saving up will be needed :hammerhead:
Plus since my current prodrive map will do that will make it alot easier to change.

Yeah see fitment is different
Rear would fit yours if hanger closest to diff was swopped to other direction
Centre won't fit

oh right, but his is 3" all the way, mine is 2.5" so if i was to just get the backbox only i need the " S " with 2.5" flange.

Rang blitz, and they said even if i have a straight centre pipe and my prodrive backbox hasn't been changed in any way then the Spec S will just bolt on.
The Spec S doesn't come with a bung either and as you know they are pricey yokes.
Blitz confirmed no remap is needed with my current setup.

A good second hand Spec R would be a good buy vs a new Spec S, so gonna keep an eye for that.

yes cos its meant for the stock system, blitz said the backbox are the same so if i have the straight pipe it will just as loud as the Spec R

Was taking with Japanese Performance, and they said they can get me a mint used Spec S or R (hopefully)
They'll send photos and details of the ones they have access too and i can pick it then. Sure we'll how it all works out.

aaron pro parts are a blitz dealer and your local main stealer can sort you with the gasket

they used to be a trader on here they are based in blanchardstown and are good lads to deal with,as regards to price i'm not sure what they would charge or if they'd have in stock they're number is 01-8030222
