to have the window open a couple of mm from the inside (to get past the rubber), the window has to come down at least an inch from the outside. Thats an inch gap to from the deflector to the top of the open window (cos the door has to open....)

so in answer to your question - you still get some rain in.......as tested this lunchtime!

Yes. But i rekon all of the customs and excise peoples are on their hols. I bought about 1000euro of goods in the last while from all over the world including the US. Not one customs bill.
