Blown Fuse

Lads,

Was driving down the road today when suddenly the raido, clock, rear windscreen defroster and central locking stopped working.

Got home checked the fuses and found the blown one in the engine box. Replaced it anyway(correct fuse used) and the thing blew again 2 mins later.

What could be the cause of this.

Suggestions and help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Did you just replace the blown fuse with the same amp fuse? Maybe it is supposed to be using a higher amp fuse which would cause it to blow again? If not something could be loose and shorting the fuse or wire touching, alot of things it could be. I would check to make sure its the right fuse first

I definately used the correct fuse to replace the blown one.

theres a wire getting chaffed somewhere mate!!!!
putting bigger fuses in aint gonna help!!!!
i'd try round the radio first unless its the factory one!!!

are you using something in the cigarette lighter like a charger for a phone or an ipod???

No using nothing in cigarette lighter. Everything is standard in the car. Genuine subaru radio also.
